Prof. LIANG Yanchun (梁艳春), born in November 1953, PhD, supervisor of PhD candidates, associated dean of College of Computer Science and Technology in Jilin University. He graduated from the Department of Mathematics of Jilin University in 1977. He was a visiting scholar in Manchester University of U.K. from 1990 to 1991, a visiting professor in National University of Singapore from 2000 to 2001, and a guest professor in Institute of High Performance Computing of Singapore from 2002 to 2004.
His research interests focus on computational intelligence and intelligence engineering, including related theories, models and algorithms of artificial neural networks, fuzzy systems and evolutionary computation, as well as applications of intelligent computational methods to combinational optimization, control of ultrasonic motors, MEMS modeling, prediction of economic time series and bioinformatics.
He was and has been with responsibility for 4 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation and 6 projects funded by the provincial and national departments. He was awarded 4 scientific and technological awards from provincial and national departments, and the Governmental Subsidy from the State Department. He published 1 book and more than 170 papers including more than 40 indexed by SCI and more than 60 indexed by EI.
